My Dreams Each morn, I wake up, I'm still alive Thankful thoughts, soaring high and wide On the wings of words and prayers Powered by currents of passion and optimism Hopeless am I, my destiny seemingly sealed Yet I wake up, unafraid and hopeful To face an unknown naked dawn With my armour of sweet dreams My dreams have kept my sanity, my freedom My nights devoid of worries and nightmares Though the world, maybe angry and unforgiving Yet, I do not lose sleep, but dream away Dreaming of all things wonderful and impossible Seeing every rising sun as an hopeful orb The days are cheery among the dreary I once again, go to my slumber with a smile A thousand moving shapes and sceneries in colours Among backgrounds of faint soothing sounds Benign emotions and sensations, overwhelm me As I yet venture into another dreamy sphere These dreams have kept my hopes alive For I know, I am long time dead I treasure every breath that I take Cause I know, I'm still wanted on this earth Benjamin P.
